Agege Security Summit: Ogunsan to Lead Dialogue on Public-Private Partnerships for Safer Communities

The Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan, is set to share his expertise on security financing, stakeholder collaboration and public-private partnerships at the forthcoming Agege Security Summit.
Ogunsan, who has been invited as a Guest Speaker, is expected to deliver insights on the role of strategic partnerships and investment in strengthening community security across Lagos.
His participation comes amid the LSSTF’s continued efforts to deepen collaboration among security agencies, government institutions, communities and private-sector stakeholders in support of a safer Lagos. His contribution is expected to highlight the importance of collective responsibility and sustainable investment in addressing emerging security challenges.
The Agege Security Summit, hosted by the Executive Chairman of Agege Local Government, Hon. Vinod Obasa, is designed as a community-focused platform for government representatives, security professionals, traditional and community leaders, businesses and residents to deliberate on security, public safety and sustainable development.
The summit is scheduled for Thursday, October 8, 2026, at the Agege Local Government Hall, beginning at 10 a.m.
Ogunsan will speak on the theme, “Public-Private Partnership in Community Security,” focusing on how government, businesses, communities and other stakeholders can work together to strengthen security at the grassroots.
According to the organisers, Ogunsan’s leadership experience at the LSSTF makes him particularly suited to contribute to the conversation, especially on the role of strategic investment and collaboration in building safer communities.
Other distinguished speakers expected at the summit include the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa; former Orile-Agege LCDA Chairman, Hon. J.S. Babatunde; Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Fatai Tijani; ACP Saheed Egbeyemi; real estate investor, Abdullahi Saheed Mosadoluwa; Convener, Abdullahi Anikulapo; and the Chief Host and Chairman of Agege Local Government, Hon. Vinod Obasa.
The summit comes at a time when community participation, intelligence sharing and sustainable security financing are increasingly important to modern security management.
Beyond conventional law enforcement, effective community security requires strong partnerships that can support prevention, intelligence gathering, logistics, public awareness and timely response to emerging threats.
Organisers expressed confidence that Ogunsan’s participation would enrich discussions at the summit and provide practical perspectives on building stronger partnerships capable of promoting a safer and more sustainably developed Agege.
