The newly appointed Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Superintendent of Police (SP) Abimbola Adebisi, paid a courtesy visit to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Lagos Sector Command as part of her familiarization tour and inter-agency engagement within the state.

 

SP Adebisi was warmly received by the Sector Commander, Corps Commander Kehinde G. Hamzat, alongside the Sector Public Education Officer, Superintendent Route Commander (SRC) Elizabeth Oluwadamilola Jayeola.

 

In his remarks, the Sector Commander, CC Hamzat, emphasized the need for sustained collaboration between the Nigeria Police Force and the FRSC, especially in the areas of strategic communication, public enlightenment, traffic management, and emergency response coordination. He described both agencies as partners in public safety and commended the Police Command for its continued support in maintaining law and order on Lagos roads.

 

He further encouraged both Public Relations Officers to strengthen their working relationship to ensure effective information management, mutual support during crisis communication, and consistent public engagement that promotes discipline, compliance, and safety consciousness among Lagos road users.

He also prayed for SP Adebisi’s success in her new role, wishing her excellence in words, deeds, and relationships.

 

In her response, SP Adebisi expressed appreciation to the FRSC leadership for the warm reception and lauded the Corps for its professionalism and visibility in public education and road safety management. She pledged to sustain the existing synergy between both agencies, particularly in the area of public information sharing, and promised to explore more opportunities for collaboration that would benefit the general public.

 

The Sector Public Education Officer, SRC Jayeola, in her remarks, highlighted the long-standing relationship between both agencies and recalled the support received from the immediate past Lagos Police PRO, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, during her early days as the FRSC Lagos SPEO. She expressed optimism that the new PPRO’s tenure would further deepen cooperation and enhance joint public communication efforts in the state.
