
The Nigeria Police Force (NPF), in collaboration with the Police Service Commission (PSC), will commence the physical and credential screening exercise for candidates who applied for the 2025/2026 recruitment into the Police Constable cadre from Monday, March 9, 2026.
The Lagos State Police Command disclosed that the exercise will run until Saturday, April 18, 2026, and will take place daily from 7:00 a.m. at the Nigeria Police College Ikeja.
According to the Command, the screening is specifically for applicants who are indigenes of Lagos State and successfully completed the online registration for recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force as General Duty and Specialist Police Constables.
Applicants are required to appear at the screening venue dressed in a clean white T-shirt and white shorts. They must also present the following documents neatly arranged in two white flat files:
Invitation slip showing assigned table
Credential Screening Form
Original National Identity Number (NIN) printout or card issued by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC)
O’ Level (GCE/SSCE) certificate
Birth certificate or declaration of age
Local Government/State of Origin certificate
Trade Test/Certificate (for specialist applicants only)
Duly completed and signed guarantors’ form with photocopies and passport photographs of referees attached
Original and duplicate copies of credentials with recent passport photographs attached
The Command stressed that applicants who fail to present any of the required documents will not be considered for screening. Candidates are also advised to strictly adhere to their scheduled dates and comply with all guidelines provided for the exercise.
The Lagos Police Command further emphasised that the recruitment screening process is free of charge and will be conducted strictly on merit, in line with professional standards and transparency.
Members of the public are urged to report any individual or group demanding money or gratification in connection with the recruitment exercise.
