Oxygen X Finance Company has taken its “Right Where You Are” campaign to the heart of Lagos, engaging traders, small business owners and other entrepreneurs at the CMS and Obalende markets on the importance of accessible credit for growing and sustaining their businesses.

The activation provided an opportunity for the Oxygen X team to interact directly with market traders and small business owners, gaining insights into their financial needs while educating them on available credit options to support restocking, cash-flow management, business expansion and other opportunities.

The campaign is driven by Oxygen X’s belief that access to credit should be within reach of the people who need it, particularly those operating small businesses within local communities.

Speaking during the activation, Brand Manager, Oxygen X, Emmanuella Awogu, said the company was committed to bridging the gap in access to formal credit.

“We need to close the gap in access to formal credit,” Awogu said. “The neighbourhood shop owner, the amala seller and the market trader may not have the paperwork, banking history or access that can make borrowing from a conventional lender straightforward. Yet they run viable businesses, serve customers, and contribute to the economy every day.”

According to her, Oxygen X is leveraging digital channels and its growing agent network to make borrowing more convenient and accessible to individuals and businesses.

“Our role is to make credit more accessible. Through our digital channels and agent network, we are bringing loans closer to customers, so they do not have to leave their businesses or endure long waits to access financing,” she added.

“We want people to know that when they need credit, Oxygen X is right where they are.”

Backed by Access Holdings Plc, Oxygen X offers personal, Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (SME), business and working-capital loans to individuals and businesses.

Customers can apply through the Oxygen X mobile application or website, while its expanding agent network is designed to extend access to more communities and markets.

Beyond conventional lending, Oxygen X is also expanding access to Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) financing through OxygenNow, enabling customers to purchase products and spread payments over time.

The company’s growing BNPL partner network includes Thermocool, Orca Mall, Konga, Redington and Izifin Technologies.

The CMS and Obalende activation is part of the broader “Right Where You Are” campaign, which seeks to take financial access beyond digital platforms and into the communities where Nigerians live, work, trade and earn their livelihoods.

For traders seeking funds to restock, small business owners looking to manage working capital, or individuals in need of personal financing, Oxygen X says it is bringing its credit solutions closer to customers through direct community engagement.

The company believes that credit should not feel out of reach — and that sometimes, access simply needs to meet people right where they are.
