ves of the Lagos State Police Command have uncovered and sealed a suspected illegal factory allegedly used for the production and packaging of adulterated alcoholic drinks in the Badagry area of the state.
The operation, which was carried out following credible intelligence provided by members of the public, also led to the arrest of a 48-year-old suspect, Anaebo Emeka Hilary, at Yafin, Badagry, where the suspected factory was located.
During the operation, police operatives recovered quantities of suspected adulterated alcoholic drinks, empty bottles, different wine labels and various production utensils allegedly used in the production and packaging of the drinks.
Following the discovery, the premises was immediately sealed, while the suspect was taken into police custody for questioning. The recovered items have also been deposited at the station as investigation continues.
The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Fatai, psc, mnips, commended the operatives for their vigilance and prompt response to credible information from members of the public.
CP Fatai reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to sustaining intelligence-led operations aimed at identifying and disrupting criminal activities across Lagos State.
