The high rate of deceits and corruption of Nigeria corrupt leaders have been raised to be corrected by all Nigerians and should not let late Dr. Beko Ransome- Kuti ‘s fight for the masses,good governance in Nigeria goes down the drain.
The national secretary of the Committee for the defence of human rights(CDHR),Comrade Yinka Folarin made this known on Thursday at the public lecture and 81 post humous Birthday held in honour of Dr. Beko Ransome- Kuti at the Human Rights house Ikeja,that Nigerians must never be carried away by the sweet mouth of the corrupt politicians to buy off their rights to vote them in come 2023 election.
He expressed that the CDHR would not stop to sensitize the public against bad governance because the leadership of the day who is known as a member PDP today and become the likes of APC tomorrow has failed Nigeria economic wise with the issue of insecurity.
However,urged the public to consider the state of the nation security is everybody business that must not be left to the goverment alone, and speaking through the programme sub theme attached with Unstable democracy of the country,Police brutality,Labour protests compared with the unbiased fight of good governance for the masses ever staged by late Beko Ransome kuti irrespective of rules and religion.
The Vice President of the CDHR,Comrade Ade Ikuesan stated in his address that the youth of Nigeria has a role to play to make a progressive and positive change in Nigeria governance and the narrative which has ever promised to end Boko Haram but still turned to banditry.
The ex Chairman of the CDHR,Comrade Alex Omotehinse said there is need for monitoring of any vote you cast at the polling booth during election and make your vote count as well as advisable to vote the right person of your choice. He said.
