Sweden based Mr. Abidemi Akinde will soon be installed the “Obateru of Idanre Land” by His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Frederick Adegunle Aroloye, Arubiefin IV, (JP) OFR, Owa of Idanre and Paramount ruler of Idanre Land.
Very reliable palace source revealed to the tochlight need that Mr. Abidemi Akinde’s choice by the people of Isalu Quarter of Idanre Land and its subsequent approval by the Owa of Idanreland was as a result of his numerous sterling qualities and deep love for the culture and traditions of his (Idanre) people despite being in diaspora for many years.
The Obateru elect is one of the sons of High Chief Charles Akinde, the incumbent Soore of Idanre Land who was a former Idanre/ Ifedore Local Government Chairman, social critic, publisher and author of many books.
The installation is coming up some days before Christmas at Owa’s Palace, Odode Idanre. Ondo State.
