AIG Adegoke Parades ThreeSuspects for Conspiracy, Stealing, Breach of Peace…. Recover Stolen Range Rover, Valuables, Ammunition

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 2 Police Command, AIG Adegoke Fayoade yesterday had paraded and announced the arrest of Three (3) suspects for various criminal charges including conspiracy, stealing, and breach of peace.
The trio had broken into the house of a petitioner, Chief Olasode and carted away valuables. The suspects are Salaudeen Abdulbaki, M, 27YRS, Francis Istifanus, M, 33YRS, and Ibrahim Babatunde, M, 36YRS while 1 unregistered Range Rover SUV and two (2) locally made single barrel pistols and two (2) live cartridges were recovered.
The AIG Adegoke Fayoade had assigned the Officer in-charge Dragon Squad 2, DSP Adeyemi Akeem and team to discretely carry out the operation. On the 10th day of October, 2024 about 0439hrs, one suspect Ibrahim Babatunde ‘m’ (an ex-convict) was arrested during a raid on the hideout along Ijagba Area of Sango-Ota, Ogun State while Two (2) locally made Single Barrel Pistols and Two (2) live Cartridges were recovered from him which he claimed were bought for Eighty Thousand Naira (N80,000.00k) each from Benin Republic. The suspect confessed to being a member of the EIYE confraternity while efforts are intensified to arrest the fleeing suspects.
During the parade of the three (3) suspects at the Zone 2 Headquarters attended by members of the National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP, the Zonal PPRO, SP Umma Ayuba indicated that, ‘On the 11th of July 2024, Chief Olasode O. Martins brought a petition against some criminal syndicates who entered into his premises and carted away his white Range Rover SUV. The petition was referred to the Anti-Piracy Unit for discreet investigation and report.’
‘A team of police investigators from the Zonal Anti-Piracy Unit swung into action through technology driven policing which revealed that it was the domestic staff, one Salaudeen Abdulbaki “m’ who served the petitioner for barely 4 months and resigned sent his friend one Mohammed Jamiu ‘m’ five days after he left; having been acquainted with his boss’ daily itinerary hence he constructively opened the gate and carted away the complainant’s vehicle knowing that the SUV was unregistered. Subsequently, the suspect, Salaudeen Abdulbaki ‘m’ was arrested in connection to the crime at his hideout in Jabi, Abuja and the exhibit, A Range Rover SUV was recovered at Sabondli Plaza, Jabi. Where he confessed to have masterminded the whole act with his syndicate and also stated to be the person that called the estate security guards on the day of the incident with a new SIM card he had specifically gotten for the operation impersonating his boss to allow easy passage of the vehicle after which the SIM card was destroyed before moving the SUV to Zuba for a month before moving it to Abuja where it was recovered.’
‘A case of stealing and receiving stolen properties was reported against FRANCIS ISTIFANUS ‘M’ who was working as a security guard at a warehouse in Ajah Lagos for a period of over two years. The suspect confessed to have stolen one industrial oven, one Mitsubishi air condition, wood carving cutter, 4 bank glass doors, gas cooker, 4 heavy duty jacks, 25KVA generator set and other industrial equipment worth over Thirty-Nine Million Naira which was loaded and taken to various receiver across the country before he was finally apprehended at his hideout in ABUJA FCT. Efforts are intensified to apprehend other fleeing suspects.’
For IBRAHIM BABATUNDE ‘M’ AGED 36YRS, This is a case of arrest of suspected cultist, unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition. Based on intelligence gathered by the Assistant Inspector General of Police concerning a notorious suspected member of EIYE confraternity who has been terrorizing Ijoko-Ota and Sango axis of Ogun State.’
