Ajimotokin Meets Heads of Irele Township Market Traders Association.
• Tasks them to Fulfil their Obligations.

The Executive Chairman, Irele Local Government, Hon. (Barr.) Olusegun Ajimotokin has called on market women to be steadfast in their obligations to ensure hitch-free market administration.
The honourable chairman made this known today during an enthralling meeting with representatives of the Irele township market traders association held at Oba Feyisara Odimayo Hall, Irele Local Government Secretariat.

The honourable chairman in a statement berated the non-compliance market women who are flouting the directives of the government officials declaring that the relationship of the government with market women would no longer be a business as usual as defaulters of government directives would be penalized appropriately.
Hon. Ajimotokin also notified the market women of the readiness of the local government to constitute a Task Force that would be overseeing the security of the market calling on traders in the market to pay their levies so that the government can utilise the income generated to rebuild the dilapidated structures in the market.
In the meeting, the following resolutions were reached:
• That market women, especially squatters occupying market roads for trading activities should quit immediately.
• that Irele township market Environmental Day should be observed on any Thursday that falls on Market day between 7:00 am to 8:00 am.
• that market women owning the local government outstanding levies should pay for their arrears.

• that market women with dilapidated structures should carry the council officials in charge of the market along before carrying out any renovation.
In the meeting were; the Secretary to Irele Local Government, Mr Oladipupo Temenu, Representative of Rate Officer, Mrs Akinlalu, Iyalaje of Ode Irele, Chief Mrs Abiodun Olowokandi, Chief Ayodele Olowoyo, Representatives of Clothes Sellers Association, Mrs Abiodun Ojalatan, Chairperson of Kolanut Sellers Association Mrs Edamisan Oyewumi, Representatives of Lock up Shops, Mrs B.O Naiyeju, Representative of Pepper Sellers Association, Mrs Mayomi Akinbiyi, Representative of Dry Fish Sellers Association, Mrs Orukotan Julianah, Representative of Ice Sellers Association, Mrs Akinmeji Rebecca, Representatives of Yam Sellers Association, Mrs Akinmeji Oseyemi among others.
