Association of Surulere Resident Youths in Diaspora (United Kingdom) proudly announce the endorsement of Hon Bashir Lanrewaju Oshodi as the most preferred Chairmanship candidate from the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the forthcoming Local Government Council elections in Surulere LGA, Lagos state.
In a statement issued in London on Friday 25th April , 2025 by the Public Relations Officer, Dr Olayeni Pratt, the group emphasized that Hon Bashir Lanrewaju Oshodi represents the aspirations, progressive ideals, and visionary leadership that Surulere needs at this critical time.
The group further called on the leadership of the APC in Surulere Local Government Area, Lagos state particularly the Chief of Staff to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, to ensure that the party upholds the tenets of democracy by providing a free, fair, just, and transparent primary election in the selection of the APC candidate. We also know you as a distinguished leader, who believes in empowering people to harness their lifetime potentials.
“We firmly believe that the strength of our democracy lies in the credibility of our internal processes. We urge all stakeholders to allow every aspirant, including our highly esteemed Hon Bashir Lanrewaju Oshodi, a level playing ground to prove their acceptability to the people,” the statement reads.
The association reiterated their commitment to supporting the APC and ensuring that the best candidate emerges to carry forward the legacy of renewed hope,development, youth empowerment, and community progress in Surulere local government in Lagos state.
