The Nigerian Immigration Services, Lagos Command has experienced a change in the Command’s leadership, following the redeployment processes carried out by the Service across the Country.
In a press statement e-signed and released to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP by the Command’s Public Relations Officer and Protocol Officer, CSI AO Ogungbe stated that, “Comptroller Dahiru Mani Bagiwa pcc will today 28th of January, 2022 officially take over as the CIS in charge of Nigeria Immigration Service, Lagos State Command. His appointment follows the redeployment of Comptroller BA Aliyu fsi pcc+ who has been appointed as the Principal Staff Officer (PSO- CGIS) in the recent redeployment of Comptrollers carried out by the Service.”
According to Ogungbe, “CIS Bagiwa who hails from Mani Local Government Area in Katsina State was until his appointment, the Comptroller in charge of Kaduna State Command. CIS Bagiwa has in various capacities served in several Commands and Formations across the Country.
He has also previously served with the National Commission for Refugees Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the North-East region.”
Comptroller Bagiwa will be coming in with a wealth of experience as a seasoned administrator after having undergone several administrative courses within and outside the Service.
He has a first degree in Political Science from the elite Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He subsequently followed up with a Masters in Public Policy and Administration from Bayero University Kano (BUK).
He is the immediate past Comptroller of Kaduna State Command and is once again returning to Lagos after having previously served at the Command and MMIA.
