Disqualification of Mr. Charles Ogunmola as NDDC Executive Director Projects (EDP): Our Relentless and Unified Resistance Paid off
By The Tochlight Africa News
Few weeks ago, we received the news of the nomination of Mr. Charles Ogunmola as NDDC Executive Director Projects (EDP) with outrage, sheer disbelief and all sense of frustration which consequently made us explore every means of peaceful and civil resistance of the unjust as well as unacceptable nomination.
We, the executive members of Ondo South Advancement and Welfare Consultative Association (OSAWA), made frantic efforts in consultation and with supports from Ondo South stakeholders, members of the association and political office holders from the senatorial district at nipping the erroneous nomination in the bud.

Our joint resistance was not unconnected with the fact that Mr. Charles Ogunmola hails from Owo, Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State which is repugnant and contravenes the NDDC Act that clearly spells out the nominee should come from the mandate area of the commission
Going by the cheery news we received yesterday December 15, 2022, we can state that our efforts have indeed paid off as the nominee, Mr. Charles Ogunmola, was disqualified by the joint Committee of Nigerian Senate and House of Representatives on Niger Delta Development Commission during the screening of the nominees held yesterday.

We appreciate the Senate and House of Representatives for yielding to the yarning of the people, mega thanks extended to the 3 senators representing Ondo State for agitating against the nomination unanimously, the House of Representatives Members from Ondo State, Ondo South stakeholders and all members of OSAWA for standing by the leadership of the association.
