On Saturday, Special Marshals from RS2.1, Lagos, in collaboration with Regular Marshals, conducted a joint National Patrol across all Commands in the state.

In order to have even distribution of Special marshals in the state during the June 2024 National Patrol and to ease all the corridors of traffic, the state coordinator, SM Olusegun Akintan, with the approval of the Lagos State Sector Commander, CC Patrick Davou, positioned Special marshals in strategic locations in the state.

As it has been the tradition in the State for a mega patrol to be staged once in a month during the National Patrol in a particular Unit command in the state, Special Marshals from three Units Commands were assigned to operate in Ikotun area of the state, namely: Ikotun unit command, Isolo and Airport units commands respectively.

As a way of adding colour to the patrol, Special Unit known as Bikers Unit which comprises of Bikers rode to the place of the patrol in their Bikes and patrolled with the Regulars and the Special marshals throughout the patrol which brought about sanity in Ikotun Area.

The State Coordinator, SM Olusegun Akintan with the Unit Commander of Ikotun Unit Command, CRC Ekwo flagged off the National Patrol after which Special Marshals were posted to the following locations: Ikotun Bus stop Roundabout for Traffic control & Enlightenment, College Bus-stop, Ikotun for Enforcement & Enlightenment and Governor’s Road Axis for Enforcement & Enlightenment

Special Marshals from Ojodu and Ojota were posted to Kara/Opic along Lagos/ Ibadan Expressway with CRC SDER Abiti leading the Special marshals to the area.

Special marshals from Iba Unit command fully operated within their jurisdiction in order to bring sanity to the roads in that axis.

Special marshals from Ikeja, Ikorodu, Badagry, Epe and Lekki were all out to make our roads free of traffic as we are in the season of Eid-El Kabir Celebration.

This proactive initiative demonstrates the FRSC’s commitment to ensuring the safety and convenience of road users in Lagos State during the Eid-El Kabir celebration.
