Globacom has launched its e-SIM service, offering new customers an advanced, SIM-less experience. To welcome them, Glo is giving out 5GB of free data when they activate an e-SIM at any Gloworld shop or authorized dealer outlet and purchase a data plan of N1,500 or more.
Customers from other networks can now join Glo with an e-SIM as an additional SIM, while existing Glo users can also switch to enjoy the benefits of this digital technology.
The e-SIM is a software-based digital chip embedded directly into smartphones or wearable devices, removing the need for a physical SIM card. This allows users to switch between phone numbers seamlessly, making it ideal for frequent travelers. It also enhances security since it cannot be easily removed like a physical SIM and is eco-friendly, helping to reduce plastic waste.
By launching the e-SIM, Glo aims to attract high-net-worth individuals and business customers, reaffirming its dedication to cutting-edge, customer-friendly innovations.
To activate the Glo e-SIM, customers should check their phone’s compatibility by dialing #06#. If an EID number appears, the device supports e-SIM. The customer can then visit the nearest Gloworld shop or dealer outlet for activation, a process that takes just a few minutes.
“The customer can quickly migrate to e-SIM and start enjoying its benefits right away,” Glo’s Marketing Department stated.
