Interswitch Champions Women’s Empowerment with ‘Give to Gain’ Initiative for International Women’s Day
Leading African technology company, Interswitch, has reaffirmed its commitment to women’s empowerment and workplace inclusion as it commemorated International Women’s Day 2026 with a special initiative themed “Give to Gain.”
The programme, designed as an internal engagement for female employees, underscores the company’s dedication to nurturing women’s professional growth and creating an enabling environment where they can thrive and lead.
As part of the celebration, the company hosted a virtual leadership session exclusively for the women of The Switch, featuring Bunmi Dayo-Olagunju, Deputy Chief Executive of Stanbic IBTC Bank. She delivered a keynote presentation titled “Give to Gain – Give Value, Gain Visibility,” where she shared practical insights on leadership development, value creation, and the importance of professional visibility in career advancement.
Participants gained valuable perspectives on how women can strategically position themselves for greater impact within their organisations while translating consistent value delivery into meaningful career growth.
Speaking on the initiative, Franklin Ali, Group Chief Human Resource Officer at Interswitch, emphasised the organisation’s commitment to creating deliberate platforms that support women’s advancement.
“At Interswitch, empowering women goes beyond celebrating milestones like International Women’s Day. It requires creating meaningful opportunities where women can learn, share experiences, and gain the visibility needed to grow as leaders,” he said. “Through initiatives like ‘Give to Gain,’ we encourage our women to recognise the value they bring and confidently amplify their impact within the organisation and beyond.”
Drawing from her extensive experience in the financial services sector, Dayo-Olagunju also highlighted the importance of intentional value creation and visibility for women seeking leadership roles. She encouraged participants to actively build influence within their organisations while consistently delivering value that drives both personal and organisational growth.
Beyond the leadership session, Interswitch also distributed customised care packages to female employees across its offices, acknowledging their resilience, dedication, and contributions to the company’s success.
The organisation further supports women through several workplace policies aimed at promoting wellbeing and work-life balance. These include access to modern crèche facilities, a robust maternity leave policy, and a dedicated spousal allowance initiative, all designed to create a supportive environment for female employees.
The International Women’s Day initiative reflects Interswitch’s recognition of the critical role women play in driving innovation and growth across its operations. From technology and product development to finance, operations, and leadership, women within the organisation continue to contribute significantly to strengthening service delivery and advancing the company’s mission.
Through programmes such as “Give to Gain,” Interswitch continues to reinforce its commitment to building an inclusive workplace where talent is nurtured, contributions are valued, and every employee is empowered to grow and succeed.
