The CMO Circle, Nigeria’s foremost invitation-only platform for Chief Marketing Officers and senior marketing executives, has announced renowned marketing strategists, Iquo Ukoh and Lolu Akinwunmi, as Co-Chairs for its 2026 edition.
Positioned as a high-level executive forum, the CMO Circle brings together influential marketing leaders to shape conversations around business strategy, innovation, and public policy in Nigeria.
The platform, convened by MarkHack in partnership with StatiSense and Brand Communicator, continues to strengthen the role of marketing leadership in driving national economic growth and enterprise development.
A major highlight of the initiative is the quarterly CMO Index, a flagship publication designed to capture executive sentiment, market intelligence, and forward-looking insights aimed at influencing policy discussions and business decision-making across sectors.
As Co-Chairs, Ukoh and Akinwunmi are expected to spearhead strategic conversations on innovation, talent development, enterprise expansion, and the evolving responsibilities of Chief Marketing Officers within the C-suite.
Ukoh, Chief Executive Officer of Entod Marketing and former Director of Marketing Services at Nestlé Nigeria, is widely respected for her expertise in brand strategy, consumer engagement, and cultural storytelling.
Akinwunmi, Group CEO of Prima Garnet, affiliated with Ogilvy Nigeria, brings decades of experience in advising leading local and multinational brands, alongside an impressive track record in industry leadership.
Speaking on the development, Victor ‘Gbenga Afolabi, Convener of MarkHack and the CMO Circle, described the platform as a premium and results-oriented initiative aimed at expanding the influence of marketing leaders beyond corporate boardrooms into national policy conversations.
According to him, the appointment of Ukoh and Akinwunmi signals a new era of authority, relevance, and strategic depth for the Circle, particularly through its quarterly engagements and the CMO Index.
The inaugural 2026 session, themed “The C-Suite Mandate: Talent Density and Marketing Leadership,” will gather an exclusive network of CMOs and business executives to deliberate on the future of marketing leadership, peer collaboration, and policy-driven industry transformation in Nigeria.
