prominent Yoruba comic actor, writer, and producer who has made great contributions to Yoruba’s film industry.

Dejo Tunfulu behaves like a stammerer and an imbecile in most of his movie role.

He’s one of the comic Nollywood actors we have in Nigeria who is well known for his role in the Yoruba film industry.

He shot into limelight for his role in the movie titled: “Omo Oran”, featuring the veteran actor Fatai Adetayo (Lalude).

He is popularly known as “Dejo Tunfulu” a name he got from his comic roles in movies.

And he’s also known for many movies such as;

Ito urine (2008), Ejide (2007), Hally the Drummer (2016) and “Jide Jendo” (2020).

He’s a cool man and has a quiet look.

He was born into family of six on May 31, 1969 and he is the last child of his parents.

He is from the town of Ikija in Abeokuta, Ogun state.

 

Brief biography of Late Comic Yoruba Actor Dejo Tunfulu

Dejo Tunfulu attended Ereko, Lagos, Ansarudeen Primary School and later attended the Ebute-Elefun Dolphin High School where he discovered his talents as a performer by joining his school entertainment company.

He holds the printing skill certificate that he has earned in Ayetoro, Fadeyi, state of Lagos, in the Modern Way Nigeria School of Printing.

Dejo Tunfulu joined a small number of theater groups at his early stage, including the theater groups Akuko Gagara Theater Group and Arabanla Theater Group and the international theater group Kolawole.

In 1987, this legendary comic actor began his acting career.

He was screened on Nigeria Television Authority (NTA Channel 7), in a TV series entitled ‘Theater Omode.’

The film ‘Omo Oran’ took him into the spotlight and he worked as a son of Lalude, a veteran actor.

In 2000, Dejo Tunfulu approached the Yoruba Nollywood film industry.

Some of his films with the titles “Won Wa Mi L’Ame,” was filmed at the South African Durban Film Festival.

Others are: Aya Rere, BomBoy, Ero Ibanisoro, Oponu Meta, Tori Ife and others.

Dejo Tunfulu is blessed with beautiful kids and grandkids.

His previous marriage is made of two grown-up daughters, they are known by the surname, Sammyhat Pamilerin and Balogun boje
