The Lagos State Police Command has announced a string of major breakthroughs in its efforts to curb crime and ensure public safety.
According to a statement released by the Command, operatives arrested four suspected cable vandals on March 3, 2025, while attempting to vandalize electrical conductors attached to a transformer at Igbonla/Ilara Road, Eredo, Odo Noforija.
The suspects, identified as Innocent Victor, aged 47, Yusuf Ismaila, aged 45, Omega David, aged 46, and Francis Asua, aged 43, were found with pliers, iron cutting saws, a hammer, and other tools.
In another operation, the Anti-Kidnapping and Counter-Kidnapping Unit rescued three kidnapped victims on March 7, 2025. The victims were found deep in a forest along the Lekki-Epe Expressway, Ibeju-Lekki, where they had been held captive.
The Command also announced the apprehension of suspected armed robbers, defilement and child abuse cases, and the investigation into a murder case.
