Women, Youths, Market Leaders, and Arewa Community Declare Support at Historic Inaugural Campaign in Agege
The newly inaugurated PBAT/KOH Agege Executive Forum has officially flagged off its grassroots mobilisation campaign with a strong call for political participation under the slogan, “No PVC, No Membership.”
The historic inaugural campaign event, held at State Senior High School, Mulero/Oyewole Street, Agege, drew party leaders, market women, youth groups, ward coordinators, and community stakeholders from across Agege Local Government and Orile-Agege LCDA.
Speaking at the gathering, the Convener of the PBAT/KOH Campaign Mobilisation in Agege, Mr. Adeniran Israel, described the movement as more than a political gathering, stating that it represents a collective mission to sustain development, continuity, and purposeful leadership in Lagos State.
According to him, the campaign is built around the vision of PBAT and KOH, which he said focuses on competence, experience, infrastructure development, security, education, empowerment, and economic growth for the people.
He stressed that Agege remains a politically conscious community that understands the importance of leadership that delivers results.
“This campaign is not merely about politics; it is about sustaining progress and ensuring a better future for our communities,” he stated.
Mr. Adeniran urged members of the mobilisation structure to remain disciplined, peaceful, and committed throughout the campaign process while encouraging massive grassroots engagement across all wards and streets in Agege and Orile-Agege.
He also called on youths, artisans, traders, transport workers, religious bodies, and community associations to actively participate in the movement, noting that every vote and every ward would play a crucial role in the success of the campaign.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Akinbode Odekunle emphasized the importance of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), explaining that the “No PVC, No Membership” initiative was introduced to encourage political awareness and active civic participation among residents.
He noted that the inauguration was specifically organized to strengthen support and mobilisation structures for the PBAT/KOH political movement ahead of future electoral activities.
The event recorded impressive participation from several wards across Agege and Orile-Agege, including Ward A, B, C, D, E, and F coordinators and supporters who attended in large numbers to demonstrate solidarity with the movement.
Also speaking at the event, the Iya laje of orile Agege, Chief Mrs. Kemi Taiwo, pledged the support of market women in Agege for the PBAT/KOH movement.
She called on women across the community to come out en masse to support the initiative and ensure that their votes count during elections.
“Our women are fully ready to support this movement because we believe in leadership that will continue to bring development to our communities,” she said.
In the same vein, the Arewa Youth Leader, Aminu Saki, alongside members of the Arewa community in Agege, publicly declared their support for the PBAT/KOH 2027 movement, assuring the organisers of their commitment to grassroots mobilisation and peaceful participation.
The event ended with renewed calls for unity, peaceful campaigns, and massive voter mobilisation as supporters pledged to work collectively toward achieving victory for the PBAT/KOH political structure in Agege and Orile-Agege.
