In a significant advancement for Yoruba language education, the Ondo State Government has officially approved Akọ́mọnímọ̀ Èdè àti Gírámà Yorùbá, a grammar textbook authored by Mike Kuwoye, for use by Junior Secondary School (JSS) students in the state.

The author, in expressing his profound gratitude, thanked God Almighty, the State Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology, as well as Pastor Sam Moyebi for their invaluable support.

“I extend my sincere appreciation to the Ondo State Government and all who made this achievement possible,” Kuwoye said.

The textbook, designed for JSS 1-3 students, was launched on October 10, 2022, alongside Brenda The Pretty Lady. Notably, Brenda The Pretty Lady, originally introduced to the education sector at its launch, has also been approved as part of a supplementary list for JSS 1, marking yet another milestone in Kuwoye’s literary contributions.

For those interested in partnering to distribute these textbooks in their Local Government Areas, Kuwoye offers attractive commission rates. Potential partners are encouraged to send their name, location, and WhatsApp number to 08135586386 (WhatsApp only).

In addition to his literary achievements, Mike Kuwoye serves as the Assistant Secretary of the Association of Nigeria Broadcasters (ANBROAD), Ondo State Chapter, and is a seasoned radio show host, anchoring Àmù Ìmọ̀ on Breeze 91.9 FM and Ìrírí Mi on Glow 99.1 FM Akure.

Kuwoye has served as Media Aide to the former Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) chairman, as well as the former Secretary to the State Government of Ondo State. He is the author of several notable works, including Ẹ̀kọ Funfun, The Married Bachelor, Àdùkẹ́ Ọmọ Òrukàn, and Path to Freedom. His contributions to media and literature have earned him multiple awards and accolades.
