LAGOS, Nigeria: Promasidor Nigeria, one of the country’s leading food and beverage companies, has launched a new initiative to help established entrepreneurs build bigger and more sustainable businesses through its nationwide distribution network.
The initiative, tagged “Build Your Business with Promasidor,” is targeted at entrepreneurs and business owners with the financial capacity, infrastructure and ambition to establish and grow distribution operations across selected territories in Nigeria.
Under the programme, successful partners will have the opportunity to build businesses around Promasidor’s portfolio of trusted and fast-growing brands, including Cowbell, Miksi, Loya, Kremela, Onga, Twisco and Top Tea.
The company said the brands, which are consumed by millions of Nigerians daily, are backed by Promasidor’s established route-to-market expertise, commercial capabilities and extensive sales network.
According to Promasidor, the initiative is designed to go beyond expanding its distributor base by creating sustainable partnerships capable of driving market growth, improving product availability and generating long-term value and profitability for both the company and its business partners.
Speaking on the initiative, Chief Executive Officer of Promasidor Nigeria, François Gillet, said the company is seeking entrepreneurs who understand their markets and possess the capacity and determination to build successful businesses over the long term.
Gillet said: “Nigeria has a strong and dynamic entrepreneurial community, and we believe there is an opportunity to build even stronger and more profitable businesses together.”
He added that Promasidor would bring its strong portfolio of trusted brands and established route-to-market system to the partnership, while entrepreneurs would contribute their local market knowledge, business expertise and drive for growth.
The initiative is open to established entrepreneurs and businesses with the financial and operational capacity to build and manage efficient distribution operations.
Beyond adequate working capital, prospective partners are expected to have warehousing and logistics capabilities, as well as the ambition to develop direct distribution channels to traditional and modern retailers in addition to the wholesale market.
Promasidor said selected partners will receive support from its experienced sales force and dedicated human and operational resources to help them develop and manage effective distribution routes.
The company described the initiative as an opportunity for ambitious Nigerian entrepreneurs to leverage the strength of established consumer brands while building sustainable businesses within their respective markets.
