Temitope Odubela (DSI) Leads Security Operations as Ojokoro LCDA Holds Environmental Sanitation Exercise
The Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN), Lagos State Command, Anti-Robbery Department, under the leadership of Area Commander Odubela Temitope (DSI), has provided comprehensive security during the environmental sanitation exercise held across the Ojokoro Local Council Development Area (LCDA).
The sanitation exercise brought together local government officials, political appointees, management staff, and community volunteers, all of whom participated in the clean-up campaign aimed at promoting a healthier and cleaner environment. The initiative focused on clearing blocked drainages, removing refuse from public spaces, and encouraging residents to embrace proper environmental hygiene.
To ensure the smooth and hitch-free conduct of the exercise, security personnel from the VGN Anti-Robbery Department were strategically deployed across the LCDA to protect participants, maintain law and order, and guarantee the free movement of sanitation workers throughout the operation.
Speaking after the exercise, Area Commander Odubela Temitope (DSI), PI, PSI, FIPSIS, EPA, PPA, CSO, reaffirmed the command’s commitment to supporting government programmes that enhance public safety, environmental sustainability, and community development. He noted that providing adequate security during civic engagements remains a key priority of the VGN.
He also commended the Ojokoro LCDA administration, residents, and all stakeholders for their cooperation and active participation, expressing optimism that sustained collaboration between security agencies, local authorities, and the public would continue to foster a cleaner, safer, and more secure community.
