As Comrade Ayodele Adewale reiterated his resolved to contest for House of Representatives, Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency, reviews performance index and welcomes more decampees from the main opposition party PDP to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Members of The Consolidation Group (TCG) converged on Monday 7th March 2022 at their National Secretariat in Festac Town, Lagos State to review the key performance indicator set by the APC Lagos State Organising Secretary and founder of the campaign organisation Comrade Ayodele Adewale in mobilising more residents of the community to register for the permanent voters card (PVC) as the deadline for registration and revalidation draws nearer.
The immediate past council boss while addressing members of TCG sought for the progress chart of the APC faithfuls and revealed that much work still needs to be done in order to have a united front towards the 2023 general elections.
Comrade Ayodele Adewale also advised that members should take advantage of the less traffic at the INEC office in Festac Town by aggressively mobilising friends and family members who do not have the PVC, before it escalates to a logjam where residents would have to scramble for registration.
The former council boss who revealed that the era of ballot box stuffing and snatching by any individual in the country had come to an end emphasised that INEC had been empowered to transmit results electronically from the polling unit and now also have the prerogative to compare the number of registered voters against the number of votes cast in an area.
He mentioned it as a wake up call most especially to the leaders of the group in order to be victorious at the polls.
Comrade Ayodele Adewale however, reminded members of his decision to contest for the position of the House of Representatives, Amuwo Odofin federal constituency.
He averred that his antecedents (https://youtu.be/FktGi0Ewrcw)
as the erstwhile council boss of Amuwo Odofin local government where he performed exceptionally well among other leadership qualities set him above other party members who had signified their interest to run for the legislative office.
He opined that consultations are well underway with party leaders and associates on his political ambition.
The chairman of the group Apostle Kehinde introduced a former member of the main opposition party and staunch member of PDP from ward A2 who recently decamped to the All Progressive Congress and signified his interest in identifying with the consolidation group.
Mr. Vincent Balogun, who was previously an exco member in his former party at the ward level expressed his joy and appreciation to the founder of the group for accepting him.
A row call of members was taken while the group chairman charged everyone to reconverge at their various ward meetings during the week with PVC registration top on the agenda.
