AMNESTY TRAINEES WILL INSPIRE TECHNOLOGY GROWTH, SAYS AIYEDATIWA….Lauds FG Amnesty collaboration with Bradama International Ltd

Ondo State Deputy Governor, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa, while representing the State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, has said graduants under the skill development of Presidential Amnesty Programme ( PAP ), will strengthen technology, particularly in the Oil and Gas sector of Nigeria economy.

Aiyedatiwa spoke on Friday at the graduation ceremony of Amnesty Trainees under the Presidential Amnesty Programme at Agadagba, Ese-Odo Local Government, Ondo State.

The graduants were trained at Bradama International Skill Works Limited, Agadagba.

The Deputy Governor noted that the dearth of technical manpower in Oil and Gas sector, and other relevant sectors in the value chain has been one of the critical low points in the Country’s quest for lasting solution to the many problems of oil industry.

“It becomes very heart-warming therefore to find that AMNESTY PROGRAMME since coming on stream has taking the initiative for a systemic restoration of peace in the Niger Delta with the skill acquisition and technical manpower provision for oil industry and means of livelihood for our people”, he said.

Adding that, “I’m indeed very pleased to note that Bradama International Skill Works Limited and PAP have continued to keep their promise of providing a pool of technical manpower from which oil and gas sector, and other sectors can draw” .

“This initiative is a very important of the dual purpose of redressing the many impacts of the years of neglect of human capacity development in the Niger Delta” .

Speaking further, Aiyedatiwa said, “today’s graduation ceremony offers us all an excellent opportunity to facilitate stakeholders collaboration on new approaches to our employment generation as well as purposeful engagement of our people”.

Thereafter, the Deputy Governor, on behalf of Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN extended the State’s appreciation to President Muhammadu Buhari for following through with PAP .

In his own remarks, the Interim Administrator, Presidential Amnesty Programme, Colonel Milland Dikio Rtd, congratulated the graduants as he enjoined them to be good ambassadors.

“This is just the beginning, as your attitude will make way for you, congratulations” , he said.

Former Vice Chancellor, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Prof Femi Mimiko who was the guest lecturer harped on human capacity development in the country.

The scholar while commending on the facilities in Bradama International Skill Works Limited, enjoined government at all levels to put more funds and focus on education, particularly, Technical and Vocational education.

Rounding up the event, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Bradama International Skill Works Limited, Senior High Chief, Bibopere Ajube who is the chief host thanked the heros of Niger Delta struggles.

“I have taken the decision to develop our region, there is no arms struggle in Niger Delta anymore”.

“We are in diplomacy era, to be part of decisions making so as to bring positive things back to our area” , he declared.

Dignitaries at the well attended event are, Ondo State Commissioner of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon Akinwunmi Sowore, Member of Ondo State House of Assembly, representing Ese Odo LG, Hon Success Torukherijo, APC candidate representing Ilaje/Ese Odo Federal Constituency, Hon Donald Ojogo, Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 17 Command, M.Y Akeera, representatives of other Security Agencies , Traditional Rulers led by Agadagba of Arogbo, Oba Zachaeus Doubra, Ahaba of Ajagba, Oba Thomas Oluwole Adesayo, Odogun of Igbekebo, Oba Oladele Dabo and others.
