Enugu Forest Guards Get New Voice as Commander Akinbayo Appoints Geraldine Uliaga PRO, Tasks Her with Boosting Public Confidence
In a strategic move to strengthen public communication and stakeholder engagement, the Commander of the Enugu State Forest Guards, DCP (Dr.) Olasoji Akinbayo (Rtd), has appointed Miss Uliaga Geraldine Chiagozie as the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Command.
The appointment, according to reports monitored by the National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP), underscores the Command’s commitment to building a robust and professional communication framework that will enhance transparency, foster public trust, and deepen collaboration with communities in the fight against insecurity across Enugu State.
A native of Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area of Enugu State, Miss Uliaga was born on May 12, 1992, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education (English Education). Her academic background and communication expertise are expected to strengthen the Command’s media relations, public engagement, and dissemination of timely information on its activities.
Announcing the appointment, Commander DCP (Dr.) Olasoji Akinbayo (Rtd) described effective communication as a critical pillar of modern security management, stressing that public confidence is built through openness, prompt information dissemination, and responsible engagement.
He urged the newly appointed spokesperson to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and dedication in the discharge of her duties.
“Your appointment comes with the responsibility of serving as the public face of the Command. You must ensure that accurate information reaches the public promptly, promote the positive image of the Forest Guards, strengthen public confidence in our operations, and support our mission of protecting lives, forests, and communities across Enugu State through effective communication and responsible public engagement,” the Commander stated.
In her acceptance remarks, Miss Uliaga expressed profound appreciation to the Commander for the confidence reposed in her, pledging to justify the trust through dedicated service, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to advancing the vision and objectives of the Enugu State Forest Guards.
Her appointment takes immediate effect.
