Nestlé Nigeria Plc has announced the commencement of applications for its 2026/2027 Community Scholarship Programme, reaffirming its commitment to empowering young Nigerians through quality education and academic excellence.
Since its launch in 2020, the initiative has supported more than 250 students from the company’s host communities, easing the financial burden of education while creating opportunities for beneficiaries to pursue their academic ambitions.
The scholarship programme is tailored for Science and Technology students, providing financial assistance for tuition, books, and other educational expenses. Through the initiative, Nestlé continues to invest in the next generation of professionals equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to drive Nigeria’s future growth.
The programme has recorded remarkable success, with over 70 percent of monitored beneficiaries either maintaining or graduating with First Class honours. Beyond financial assistance, the scholarship enables students to focus on their studies and pursue academic excellence with greater confidence.
Applications are open to eligible students from Agbara, Sagamu, and Abaji.
For the Tertiary Education category, applicants must be current 100-level students studying Science or technical courses and must have scored 200 or above in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
For the Secondary Education category, applicants must be SS1 Science students who obtained at least five credit passes in their Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply through the 2026/2027 Nestlé Nigeria Community Scholarship application portal. Applicants are advised to complete the application carefully and provide all required information, as submissions will be verified by educational institutions, community unions, and community leaders to ensure a transparent and credible selection process.
The application deadline is 28 August 2026.
Sharing his experience, Kazeem Fatai, a recent First Class graduate of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), where he earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, described the scholarship as a life-changing opportunity.
