Ogun Police Deploy School Protection Squad, Partner PCRC to Bolster Security in Schools
The Ogun State Police Command has stepped up security around schools across the state with the deployment of its School Protection Squad, as schools resume academic activities.

As part of efforts to strengthen the initiative, the Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, psc, FCSS, MNIPR, recently received an executive delegation of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) Safe School Club, led by its State Chairman, Comrade Abdullahi Babatunde Lawal, at the Command Headquarters in Abeokuta.
The meeting focused on deepening collaboration among the Police, school authorities, parents, students and other community stakeholders to facilitate the early identification, reporting and prevention of security threats within and around schools.
CP Ojajuni commended the PCRC Safe School Club for the initiative and reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to the partnership.
He charged members of the School Protection Squad to remain vigilant, maintain regular engagement with school communities and respond promptly to credible security information.
The Commissioner reiterated that the Command would continue to anticipate potential threats, prevent security incidents and provide swift protective intervention whenever necessary.
He therefore urged school proprietors, administrators, teachers, parents, students and members of the public to remain alert and security-conscious.

Residents were advised not to ignore suspicious persons, vehicles, movements or activities around schools, stressing that early reporting and timely information can prevent security incidents.
