Presenting the report on Friday, July 24, 2026, the company’s Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability, Mr. Ekuma Eze, attributed the achievements to sustained investments in cleaner production technologies, resource efficiency and operational excellence.

Eze disclosed that natural gas now accounts for over 93 per cent of the company’s energy mix, reflecting its steady transition to cleaner energy sources, while investments in renewable energy continue to expand in line with its long-term sustainability goals.

Beyond its environmental accomplishments, Rite Foods continued to make meaningful socio-economic contributions by sustaining approximately 3,000 direct jobs and supporting more than 12,000 indirect jobs across its value chain. The company also invested over ₦581.92 million in education, healthcare, youth empowerment, environmental sustainability and other community development initiatives, further strengthening its impact on society.

“Sustainability has become a defining pillar of Rite Foods’ growth strategy and a key driver of long-term value creation. Every milestone we have achieved reflects our resolve to operate responsibly, reduce our environmental footprint, create shared value for our stakeholders and contribute meaningfully to national development,” Eze stated.

He added that the company remains committed to innovation, transparency and continuous improvement, ensuring that its growth continues to deliver lasting benefits to consumers, host communities and other stakeholders.

Eze further noted that Rite Foods has voluntarily aligned its sustainability reporting with globally recognised standards, including the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards and elements of the IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards, underscoring the company’s commitment to transparency, accountability and global best practices.
