At the seventeenth efficiency award of excellence organised by SBE Events Magazine in recognition of the contributions of Nigerians who have made significant impacts in different sectors of the economy, awardees at the events were honoured awards towards encouraging them to do more for humanity.
Thetochlightafrica reports that award recepant were identified and selected by SBE Events Magazine from all walks of life.
Some of the award categories include Lifetime Achievement Award, Businessman of the year award, Most Outstanding Industry of the year, Media Icon of the Year, Music Icon of the year, Entrepreneurial man of the year, Posthumous Humanitarian Person of the year, Interior Decorator of the year, and ICON of the year.
In his welcome remark, Publisher SB E-news, SB events magazine, Mr ojo-isaac olusola Michael said;
“As I celebrate my 17th annual award and the launch of my new magazine, “Efficiency Magazine,” I can’t help but reflect on the challenges and triumphs that have shaped my path in journalism.
“The road to this moment was anything but smooth, especially during my early days as a young writer. I encountered numerous obstacles and faced moments of deep embarrassment. But through it all, my unwavering determination and faith sustained me, and I am profoundly grateful to the Almighty for bringing me to this point.
“My journey began with “SB Magazine,” a relatively unknown soft-sell publication. I vividly recall taking buses to various bus stops, passionately persuading street vendors to sell my magazine. However, this endeavor was far from easy. Some vendors sold the magazine without giving me a single penny in return, while others carelessly damaged my hard work. To be frank, I encountered significant financial losses and struggled even to cover the production costs.
“In those challenging times, I was fortunate to have the support and encouragement of two remarkable individuals who played pivotal roles in my journey. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the late Aare Bolu Akin-Olugbade, Sir Steve bamidele omojafor OON and whose memory we honor, and His Excellency, Senator Otunba Gbenga Daniel, former Governor of Ogun State and current senator representing Ijebu, Ogun State. Their generous financial support not only covered my expenses but also provided the lifeline that prevented me from facing financial ruin. Without their unwavering faith in my vision and their benevolence, the dream of launching “Efficiency Magazine” might never have materialized.
“I also want to acknowledge and express my gratitude to those who, for various reasons, did not extend their support or encouragement during those trying times. Their presence in my journey, though less direct, contributed to the tapestry of experiences that led me to where I stand today.
“As I celebrate this momentous occasion, I offer my profound gratitude to the Almighty for His guidance and blessings. The 17th annual award and the launch of “Efficiency Magazine” stand as a testament to the resilience of the human spirit, the power of unwavering faith, and the support of kindred spirits who share in the vision of making a meaningful mark in the world of journalism”. He said
The Chairman of the event, Sir Steve Bamidele Omofaye said it is indeed a pleasure for him to be here. In his short remark, he said ;
“This type of event don’t come this cheap at all. All I want to say to Isaac do not give up, it is a life of struggle, things are not getting any better. Don’t give too much money to earn so little, I have seen it all. I am in complete agreement with what this man is doing”. He said
Some of the recepients of the different categories of awards include;
Chief folarin Williams Logemo of Egbaland, Medical Director Folarin Fountain Hospital who received lifetime achievement award, Mr Sandeep Kumar marketing director Sona group of industry and miss Christina Koko Media director Sona group received Most outstanding industry of the year. Otunba Olutayo Orekoya and his wife received LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD from the chairman of the occasion Sir Steve bamidele omojafor OON. Dr BOBBI agwunobi owner Salt of the earth received Icon of the year award, Oye yetunde Akinfolarin MD CEO Timeless interior decoration Received interior decorator of the year, Obi Anyawu received Entrepreneur man of the year among others.
