Cautions Against Complacency.

Ondo State Deputy Governor, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa has charged the State darling Club, Sunshine Star Football Club to go all out and bring continental ticket to the State, cautioning the team against complacency ahead of their remaining league matches.
The Deputy Governor threw this challenge on Thursday during the presentation of the State FA Cup won by the club on Wednesday by the team in his Office.
The football loving Aiyedatiwa charged the team led by their Skipper Sunday Abe, not to give up in their chances of winning continental ticket at the end of the ongoing Nigeria Premier Football League season.
“You are indeed, the champion… congratulations for the victory” , he said.
Continuing, the Deputy Governor said, “this is the first term result, the second term result will be winning the AITEO Cup, as we will be glad to receive that”.
“But for Mr Governor, myself and the people of our dear State , the ultimate is going for the continental ticket, which is possible… with God, hard work and unity of purpose, we can end the ongoing football league season with continental ticket”.
“That’s the focus right now, let’s end the league with third position, as that will secure our continental ticket” , declared Aiyedatiwa.
Responding to the Deputy Governor challenge, Sunshine FC Assistant Coach, Kayode Akinyemi said, “we believe in our team’s ability and we will fight right to the end” .
It would be recalled that, Sunshine Star FC produced a commanding display on Wednesday by defeating Akure City Academy FC 2–1 to win the State FA Cup.
Joining the Deputy Governor in receiving the team and the cup are Press Secretary to Governor, Office of Deputy Governor, Kenneth Odusola-Stevenson, Secretary of the Interim Management Committee of Sunshine Star FC, Mr Obafemi Ehinmero, Special Assistant to Governor on New Media, Ladi Okunniga, Sunshine FC Team Manager, Seun Betiku, Sunshine FC Media Head, Chris Okunnuwa and some members of Ondo State Football Agency ( OSFA ).
