Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State has emphasized the importance of the South East Development Commission (SEDC) focusing on a single, major objective to ensure successful implementation.
He made this statement when the pioneer Managing Director of SEDC, Mr. Mark Okoye, and the Commission’s Chairman, Chief Emeka Wogu, led a delegation to his office in Awka, Anambra State.
According to a report by Dr. Mazi Ejimofor Opara, Governor Soludo urged the SEDC team to prioritize concrete development goals and avoid bureaucratic and politicized processes that could slow progress. He stressed that by concentrating on a key objective, the Commission could effectively channel its resources and energy, leading to meaningful growth in the Southeast region rather than being spread too thin across multiple initiatives.
In response, Chief Wogu and Mr. Okoye praised Governor Soludo’s notable achievements in infrastructure, economic transformation, and security enhancement in Anambra State. They acknowledged the success of the state’s security initiatives, “Agunechemba” and “Operation Udo Ga-Achi,” which have significantly improved safety since their inception.
The collaboration between the Anambra State government and the SEDC highlights their shared commitment to advancing development in the Southeast region by strategically prioritizing projects that will enhance the lives of the people.
