In a milestone moment for youth empowerment, fifty brand-new tricycles were handed over to young entrepreneurs in Ikorodu, Lagos State, on July 28th, 2025. Sponsored by the Nigeria Consumer Credit Corporation (Credicorp) and financed through Letshego Microfinance Bank, the initiative—led by Sub-City Project Global Consult under MD/CEO Umar Tolihat Imam—aims to create sustainable livelihoods and boost community development. The tricycles were delivered in partnership with Simba TVS, maintaining high roadworthiness and operational standards.

This strategic model allows beneficiaries to begin working immediately under a hire-purchase agreement, gradually repaying through Sub-City’s structure. It’s a powerful blend of dignity and opportunity—young Nigerians now gain access to essential mobility tools without upfront payments, while also building their entrepreneurial skills and financial creditworthiness over time. The program’s essence lies in structured empowerment and inclusivity.

Commendations were extended to federal partners, Credicorp Executive Director Mrs. Olanike Kolawole, Letshego MFB MD Mr. Aderoju Adebowale, and various collaborators including Simba TVS, Eonsfleet, Brand Edges Media, Wydep Consulting, and Johnny B Nigeria Ltd. Their unified commitment ensured prompt delivery and transparent credit processing, underscoring the importance of public-private synergy in national development.

In his closing remarks, Umar Tolihat Imam reminded recipients that their new tricycles are more than vehicles—they’re gateways to independence, success, and a brighter future. “We see you. We believe in you. And we are building with you,” he affirmed, reinforcing Sub-City’s mission to cultivate a vibrant, credit-accessible Nigeria for every hardworking citizen.
