The National President of the Remo Secondary School Old Students Association (RSSOSA), Aare Adetola Emmanuelking, has felicitated the National Vice President of the Association’s UK Branch, Mr. Damola Aiyeola, on his 60th birthday, describing him as a God-fearing family man, committed leader and exemplary old student whose dedication to service has made a lasting impact on students and the development of Remo Secondary School.
In a special birthday message, Aare Emmanuelking described Aiyeola’s six decades of life as a remarkable journey defined by faith, family, leadership, purpose and selfless service. He commended his unwavering commitment to the ideals of RSSOSA and his understanding that belonging to an alumni association comes with the responsibility to give back to the institution that shaped its members.
The RSSOSA National President particularly praised Aiyeola’s leadership of the Association’s UK Branch, noting that his contribution goes beyond occupying an executive position. According to him, Aiyeola has consistently deployed his position to promote students’ welfare and contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of the alma mater.
He highlighted several notable interventions by the RSSOSA UK Branch under Aiyeola’s leadership, including the renovation of UK-adopted classrooms at Remo Secondary School, donation of learning materials to outstanding students in both the Senior and Junior sections, and support for holiday tutorials for SS3 students.
The tutorial initiative, he added, was further strengthened through the provision of textbooks and sanitary pads to students, thereby addressing both their academic and personal welfare needs.
Aare Emmanuelking described the interventions as tangible demonstrations of the responsibility Old Students owe their alma mater, stressing that the positive impact of the RSSOSA UK Branch reflects the effectiveness of purposeful and service-driven leadership.
He said Aiyeola’s example reinforces the importance of alumni leaders who understand that leadership is fundamentally about service, responsibility and giving back to society.
As the celebrant marks his diamond jubilee, the RSSOSA National President prayed for God’s continued protection, divine health, wisdom, strength and prosperity.
He also prayed that God would preserve Aiyeola and his family, reward his dedication to service and grant him greater opportunities to contribute to the advancement of RSSOSA, its UK Branch and Remo Secondary School.
Aare Emmanuelking expressed confidence that the years ahead would bring even greater accomplishments and opportunities for the celebrant to make lasting contributions to the development of the alma mater and the welfare of its students.
