The Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), led by Chairman Prince Adeniyi, has dissociated itself from the national protest tagged “#EndBadGovernmentAndHunger”. This decision aims to avoid being linked to the destructive activities of hoodlums who have hijacked the movement.
*Protecting Innocent Citizens*
While acknowledging the legitimate grievances of Nigerians, APGA condemns violence, vandalism, and destruction of public property. By dissociating from the protest, the party seeks to prevent further escalation and protect the lives and livelihoods of innocent citizens.
*Preventing Exploitation by Hoodlums*
APGA’s decision is driven by concerns about hoodlums exploiting the situation, causing widespread chaos, and engaging in nefarious activities like looting and property destruction. By dissociating itself, APGA sends a strong message against violence and destruction.
*Focusing on Constructive Solutions*
This strategic move also enables APGA to maintain a neutral stance, focus on developing constructive solutions to socio-economic challenges, and engage with stakeholders without being associated with destructive tendencies.
