Cutix Plc, one of West Africa’s leading manufacturers of electrical and telecommunications cables, has emerged as one of the major highlights of the 20th Africa International Housing Show (AIHS 2026), attracting significant attention with its innovative electrical safety solutions and high-performance cable technologies.
The six-day exhibition, held from July 13 to 18, 2026, at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, brought together key stakeholders across the real estate, construction, engineering, housing and infrastructure sectors.
Throughout the event, Cutix Plc engaged hundreds of local and international estate developers, engineering contractors, architects, government officials and other industry professionals. Its exhibition pavilion showcased a wide range of fire-resistant and high-durability power cables, earning commendation from building and construction experts across Africa.
A major attraction at the Cutix pavilion was the company’s proprietary flame-retardant insulation technology, engineered to help combat the devastating threat of electrical fires in buildings. According to the company, the technology helps starve active flames of fuel, enabling them to extinguish naturally within 0 to 1 seconds while limiting flame spread to 250 millimetres.
The exhibition also featured Cutix’s Cross-Linked Polyethylene (XLPE) low-voltage power cables and heat-treated annealed copper conductors, which are designed to provide greater flexibility and minimise snapping during installation.
Visitors were further treated to live structural cable demonstrations highlighting Cutix Plc’s strict adherence to exact safety and technical specifications. The company demonstrated cable diameters of 1.78mm for 2.5mm² cables and 2.25mm for 4.0mm² cables.
Cutix also reaffirmed its commitment to protecting contractors and consumers through its retail policy of packing every coil to a guaranteed 100.5-metre standard, thereby eliminating shortages in cable length and preventing avoidable financial losses for users.
