My name is Fanayajo Ranti Margaret, Publisher of TheTochlightAfrica.com, and I am particularly happy and proud today to celebrate my boss, my friend and a man I deeply respect, Mayor Oki O. Samson, on his well-deserved recognition as a Police-Youth Advocate.
This recognition is not a coincidence. It is a testament to the fact that when you know how to do something, do it well. Do not always wait for someone to build you; learn to build yourself through hard work, consistency, dedication and integrity.
I have known Mayor Oki Samson for more than five years, and throughout those years, I have watched him demonstrate remarkable commitment to his work and the people around him. He is a young man who does not wait for somebody before taking action. He believes in getting things done properly and ensuring that whatever he is involved in is done with excellence.
One quality that stands him out is his selflessness. Mayor Oki is not a selfish person. He genuinely cares about the welfare of others. Instead of allowing someone around him to go away empty-handed or unhappy, he will always look for a way to make a positive difference.
His generosity and willingness to support others have earned him the respect and goodwill of many people who have crossed his path.
As the President of the National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP), he has also demonstrated commendable leadership, providing direction and representing the interests of members while contributing to the growth and professionalism of security journalism in Nigeria.
Therefore, this Police-Youth Advocate recognition is not a coincidence or an ordinary award. It is a well-deserved acknowledgement of his years of hard work, service, leadership and positive impact.
