LSSTF Strengthens Lagos Security Operations with Patrol Vehicle, 2,250 Raincoats
The Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) has reinforced the operational capacity of three key security agencies with the presentation of one operational patrol vehicle and 2,250 raincoats to the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC) and Lagos State Taskforce.
The intervention, carried out on behalf of the Executive Secretary/CEO of the LSSTF, Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan, underscores the Fund’s continued commitment to enhancing the operational efficiency, welfare and all-weather readiness of security personnel protecting lives and property across Lagos State.
At the presentation ceremony held at the LSSTF headquarters in Alausa, the Director of Administration, Mr. Adegbola Lewis, represented Dr. Ogunsan and presented one operational patrol vehicle and 1,000 raincoats to the Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos State Police Command.
The items were received on behalf of the Commander, RRS, CSP Shola Jejeloye, by the Administrative Officer of the Squad, DSP Saka Ayodele. Also present were the Station Officer, ASP Oladele Ajayi, and the Commander’s Personal Assistant, Inspector Dan Idris.
The LSSTF also donated 1,000 raincoats to the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps to support its officers in carrying out community-based surveillance and public safety operations, particularly during the rainy season.
The items were received on behalf of the General Manager, Prince Ifalade Oyekan, by the Deputy Director, Operations and Monitoring, Mr. Ajao Lateef, alongside the Deputy Director of Operations, Mr. Nurudeen Rasak, and the Principal Finance and Accounts Officer, Mr. Ogunseyin Oluwole.
Similarly, the Lagos State Taskforce received 250 raincoats to enhance the operational effectiveness of its enforcement and environmental security personnel across the state. The items were received on behalf of the Chairman, CSP Adetayo Akerele, by the Operations Officer, SP Adewale Adeyemi.
Speaking through his representative, Dr. Ogunsan reaffirmed the LSSTF’s commitment to providing sustained logistical support to security agencies, stressing that effective security operations require not only modern equipment but also the welfare, protection and operational preparedness of personnel on the frontline.
The intervention forms part of the Fund’s broader strategy of supporting the Lagos State Government’s security agenda through strategic investments in mobility, protective equipment, technology and capacity building.
