The Tegbe Foundation has empowered 60 small businesses and social enterprises across Oyo State with direct financial grants ranging from ₦100,000 to ₦500,000 each, in a major boost to youth entrepreneurship and community development.
The beneficiaries, the majority of whom are youth-led entrepreneurs, received the grants under the Foundation’s empowerment initiative, tagged #JTstrikesDiamond, which culminated in a colourful closing ceremony in Ibadan.
The initiative was conceived to commemorate the 60th birthday of the Founder of Tegbe Foundation, Mogaji Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe, while the grant presentation was held in commemoration of International Youth Day, underscoring the Foundation’s commitment to youth development, enterprise growth and economic empowerment.
Speaking on the initiative, the Executive Director of Tegbe Foundation, Mr Femi Adeleke, said the intervention went beyond financial assistance, describing it as a strategic investment in the future of young Nigerians.
“This is more than support, it’s an investment in youth development, entrepreneurship, and a stronger economic future,” Adeleke said.
The closing ceremony attracted a distinguished gathering of stakeholders, government representatives, traditional leaders and community figures, including Oloye Denrele Lekan-Salami, Ajia Balogun Olubadan; Engr. Bode Johnson; Mr Femi Adeleke, Executive Director of Tegbe Foundation; Hon. Hafiz Oladejo, Special Adviser to the Honourable Minister on Stakeholder Engagement; Asiwaju Tayo Alabi; Chief Mrs Funmilayo Arulogun; Hon. Inaolaji Akinloye; and Hon. Raji Draj Ademola.
Several of the dignitaries delivered goodwill messages, commending the Foundation for its intervention and expressing support for initiatives that promote entrepreneurship, youth inclusion and sustainable economic development.
With the successful disbursement of grants to all 60 selected beneficiaries, the #JTstrikesDiamond initiative achieved its core objective of providing practical economic support to emerging businesses and social enterprises across Oyo State.
The intervention further strengthens the Tegbe Foundation’s reputation as a platform committed to empowering young people, supporting entrepreneurship and contributing to community development across the state.
