Zone 2 Command Officers Undergo Intensive Training on Emotional Intelligence, Cohesive Team Building

Personnel of the Zone 2 Command Headquarters, led by the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG Adegoke M. Fayoade, have undergone a comprehensive capacity-building workshop on Emotional Intelligence and Effective Cohesive Team Building.

The training was facilitated by Dr. Karockas Watkins of Vision Excellence Global, USA, together with his Africa-based team, who delivered deep insights on improving officer performance through enhanced emotional and interpersonal skills.

The lecture covered crucial topics including self-leadership, personality types, organizational effectiveness, and trust building. These modules were designed to help officers better understand diverse human behaviours, strengthen interpersonal relationships, and improve self-awareness in line with international standards.

Described as highly educative, interactive, and practical, the seminar engaged participants actively, showcasing the relevance of the lessons to everyday policing duties.

AIG Fayoade commended the organizers and emphasized the importance of continuous training for police personnel. He urged officers to take advantage of every opportunity for learning and self-improvement, noting that such development is vital for enhanced performance and effective service delivery.
