Community leaders from Agege Local Government Area and Orile-Agege LCDA have applauded the Executive Secretary/CEO of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund, Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan, for his impactful security interventions, particularly the ongoing construction of the Elere Police Station and other initiatives aimed at strengthening safety across their communities.
The leaders made the commendation during a courtesy visit to the LSSTF headquarters at the Alausa Secretariat, Ikeja, on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, where they expressed deep appreciation for the Fund’s sustained support to security agencies operating within Agege and its environs.
They specifically highlighted the Elere Police Station project as a strategic investment expected to significantly enhance policing capacity, improve response time to emergencies, and deepen community security architecture. According to them, the intervention reflects a renewed commitment to grassroots safety and public protection.
The delegation also praised LSSTF’s continued support for coordinated security operations targeting crime reduction and the fight against illicit drug activities in the area. They noted that the strengthened presence of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and other security agencies has contributed to improved safety outcomes and a reduction in drug-related offences.
In his response, Dr. Ogunsan expressed appreciation for the visit, describing it as a strong encouragement for the Fund’s ongoing work. He reaffirmed LSSTF’s commitment to expanding and sustaining security infrastructure across Lagos State, while strengthening collaboration with security agencies and community stakeholders to ensure safer communities.
Also present at the meeting were the Head of the LSSTF Monitoring Unit, Mr. Adeniran Samson Israel, alongside notable community leaders including Hon. Sabitu Kamorudeen, Hon. Akinbode Odekunle, and Engr. Adeniyi Adekoya.
The visit further underscores the growing recognition of LSSTF as a critical driver of security development and community stability across Lagos, particularly in high density areas like Agege and Orile-Agege.
