
The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex, Lagos, Simeon U. Akpanudom, has reaffirmed the importance of inter-agency collaboration in tackling Nigeria’s evolving security challenges as he attended a high-level workshop organized by the Nigerian Army Women Command (NAWC).
The workshop, themed “Repositioning the NAWC for Enhanced Operational Efficiency in Curbing Contemporary Security Threats,” was held at the Nigerian Army School of Finance and Administration (NASFA) Auditorium, Apapa, Lagos, and drew senior military officers, security experts, and key stakeholders from various security agencies.
At the event, the Commander of the Nigerian Army Women Command, MS Adamu, presented a commemorative plaque to AIG Akpanudom in recognition of the Nigeria Police Force’s sustained support, collaboration, and commitment to strengthening national security through effective inter-agency cooperation.
Speaking during the workshop, AIG Akpanudom commended the Nigerian Army Women Command for organizing the strategic engagement, noting that improved institutional capacity, intelligence sharing, and operational synergy among security agencies are essential in addressing contemporary security threats confronting the nation.
The workshop further highlighted the growing partnership between the Nigerian Army and the Nigeria Police Force in line with the vision of the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, aimed at safeguarding lives and property while promoting peace, stability, and national development.
Under the leadership of AIG Simeon U. Akpanudom, the FCID Annex Lagos reiterated its commitment to sustaining productive partnerships with sister security agencies and stakeholders to enhance operational effectiveness, national security, and economic growth across the country.
