Zion Prayer Movement Takes International Crusade to Imo as 2026 World Conference Begins Friday
The Zion Prayer Movement Outreach is set to host its 2026 World Conference at Zion City, the permanent site of the ministry in Mgbichi, Ngor Okpala Local Government Area of Imo State, with hundreds of thousands of worshippers expected from across the globe.
According to a statement issued by the ministry in Lagos on Friday, the three-day international crusade will commence on Friday, August 21, and run through Sunday, August 23, 2026.
The World Conference is the largest annual gathering organised by the Zion Prayer Movement Outreach, attracting participants from Nigeria and several countries across Africa, Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East.
This year’s edition will be the third time the annual conference is being held outside Lagos, further underscoring the ministry’s growing international reach.
The conference will also mark the grand finale of the ministry’s 100 Days Fasting and Prayer programme, which began in May. The annual spiritual exercise is regarded as one of Zion’s most significant programmes, bringing members together for prayer, fasting, worship, biblical reflection, thanksgiving and fellowship.
The programme traditionally culminates in the World Conference, which draws worshippers, pilgrims, clergy, volunteers and media representatives from different parts of the world.
The Spiritual Director of Zion Prayer Movement Outreach, Evangelist Chukwuebuka Anozie Obi, expressed optimism that the three-day gathering would witness profound spiritual experiences, including the conversion of thousands of people to Christianity, miracles, instant healings, deliverance, salvation and testimonies.
The ministry said preparations are in top gear to receive the large number of participants expected at Zion City for what promises to be a major international Christian gathering.
